I didn’t panic—I executed. This is the financial blueprint I built while I still had a job: HELOC in first lien position, whole life insurance as a personal bank, Roth IRA backstop, and a 3-card cash flow system. But none of it would’ve worked without the mental fitness foundation I’d built first. Here’s everything I wish someone had shared with me—and how I now help others build the same inner game.

What Happens If Your 9-to-5 Ditches You?
A Financial Preparedness Blueprint

There’s a lot of talk about ditching your 9-to-5.

But what happens if your 9-to-5 ditches you?

What would you do? What would be your first move? Who would be your first call?

In February 2024, I had my last exit. It wasn’t the exit I wanted. It was unplanned. Not unexpected. I wasn’t completely blindsided. I could read the tea leaves.

But this isn’t about reading tea leaves. This is about being prepared when the cup spills.

The Inner Work Came First

Here’s what most people skip when talking about financial preparedness:

The strategies I’m about to share? They only worked because I’d already done the mental fitness work.

When I got the news, I didn’t spiral. I didn’t panic. I didn’t make desperate moves that would’ve cost me later.

I stayed calm. Clear. Present.

Three years earlier, that same news wrecked me. I was reactive, overwhelmed, making decisions from fear instead of clarity. This time it was different.

The difference?

I’d spent years upgrading my mental operating system. Learning to spot my internal self-sabotaging tendencies: judgment, controlling, hyper-achiever stickler — before they hijacked my response.

Same trigger. Different response.
Same pressure. Different capacity.
Same news. Different me.

Mental fitness didn’t make the situation disappear. But it gave me the bandwidth to execute the plan I’d already built.

This is exactly what I help people build now. Their inner game. The mental operating system that lets you respond instead of react—whether it’s a job loss, a tough quarter, or life throwing you a curveball. The financial tools matter. But without the mental fitness foundation, most people can’t use them when it counts.

Now let me walk you through the plan.

A Quick Disclaimer

I’m not a financial planner or advisor. If you don’t have one, that’s your first signal you should get one. You can probably find a great one in your network—and maybe a few will comment on this post.

What I’m sharing is my personal blueprint for financial preparedness. Not advice. Your situation is unique. Always consult a professional.

That said, my startup is well-financed. Bootstrapped, if you will, and backed by some major names: Fidelity, Microsoft, Apple, MassMutual, Allianz, Mastercard, Visa, and more.

This isn’t a humble brag. It’s proof the math works.

The Financial Preparedness Blueprint

1. HELOC in First Lien Position

I don’t have a traditional mortgage. My home is financed using a HELOC in first lien position.

You can Google it. You can ask ChatGPT. It’s not a house hack—it’s a math formula.

Here’s why it matters for job loss preparation: If your income is lumpy, if you’re commission-only, if you’re in sales or running a business—this can smooth out the cash flow gaps.

When February 2024 hit, I didn’t have to scramble. The HELOC was already there. Flexible. Available. No panic.

If you can’t do a HELOC in first lien position, you can use a traditional HELOC or a personal line of credit. The point is: establish the line before you need it.

Don’t wait until you’re desperate. Banks don’t lend to those who are under or unemployed.

2. Whole Life Insurance: Bank on Yourself

Years ago, I learned about a principle called “Bank on Yourself.” If you don’t know it, look it up.

I have two whole life insurance policies that build cash value. You can borrow against these policies at low interest rates. The money you’ve invested stays in your account earning interest while you put that same money to work elsewhere.

Yes, you pay it back. And if you die, the principal and interest are deducted from the payout. But while you’re alive? It’s your personal bank.

Need to replace a car? Bank on yourself.
Emergency expense? Bank on yourself.
Bridge a gap between gigs? Bank on yourself.

At current interest rates, borrowing against my policy is often cheaper than my credit union.

Get the policy while you’re young and healthy. It compounds over time. It’s a financial safety net when—not if—you need it.

3. The 3-Card Cash Flow System

We use three credit cards.

Card 1: All family and household expenses. We charge everything we can to this card. We use the 30-day float to smooth cash flow, then pay the balance in full from the HELOC when due.

Card 2: My business expenses.

Card 3: My wife’s business expenses.

Keeps things clean. Keeps things separate. Keeps the cash flowing.

4. Roth IRA as Emergency Backstop

The third line of defense: the Roth IRA.

This is after-tax money. You already paid taxes on it. So if you have to dip into contributions, there are no tax penalties.

In a true dire emergency, you can also sell stocks. Yes, you’ll pay taxes on gains. But you’ll have access to cash. Or you can use your securities as collateral to borrow against.

The Roth sits there quietly. Hopefully you never touch it. But knowing it’s there? That’s peace of mind during any career transition.

Subscribe now

Why I’m Sharing This

Because no one shared it with me.

I learned about each of these financial preparedness strategies on my own. Reading. Researching. Testing. Implementing. Tweaking.

And when February 2024 came, I wasn’t scrambling. I wasn’t panicking. I wasn’t making desperate calls.

I was executing.

Build Your Financial Safety Net Now

Here’s what I need you to understand:

Do NOT wait.

Do this NOW. While you have a job. While you have income. While you have options.

If you own a home, get a HELOC and/or a personal line of credit. Don’t wait.

If you can refi your mortgage into an all-in-one loan, run the numbers. Don’t be scared by the interest rates—the math is different than a traditional mortgage.

Get a whole life policy. Not term. Term is fine for what it is—a low-cost safety net if you kick the bucket when you have little ones. But whole life builds cash value. It compounds. It becomes your personal bank.

Get some form of final expense policy. We’re all going to die. Don’t leave your family with a bag of grief and no money to bury you.

Always put money away. Not under the mattress—in the market. Money is a tool. Make sure your money has a job. That job is to make you more money.

<div class="digest-post-embed" data-attrs="{"nodeId":"aa059f12-bc1f-4e06-803a-f2c3899355ba","caption":"How to Process a Loss That Changed Everything.","cta":"Read full story","showBylines":true,"size":"sm","isEditorNode":true,"title":"Grief and Grieving","publishedBylines":[{"id":395487905,"name":"Mike D’Angelo | ResultsLab.io","bio":"I help people get great results faster at work and home without wasting time, energy, money, and stress. That’s the inner game.

I’ve been coaching founders, leaders, and high-achievers on exactly this. Building the mental operating system that lets you stay calm when everything’s falling apart. Spotting the saboteurs before they take over. Creating space between stimulus and response.

Because when your 9-to-5 ditches you, the difference between panic and execution isn’t luck. It’s preparation—mental and financial.

Build the systems. Build the safety nets. Build the mindset.

Then you’re not scrambling. You’re executing.

Over to You

I know this isn’t my typical content. But the humans using them? Still reactive. Still overwhelmed. Still burning out.

That’s the gap nobody’s filling.

The real competitive advantage isn’t a tool.

It’s you.

Think about the best leader you’ve ever worked with.

What made them great?

It wasn’t their tech stack. It wasn’t their productivity system.

It was how they showed up.

Calm under pressure. Clear when things got messy. Present when it mattered.

That’s not a skill you download. It’s not a prompt you copy-paste.

It’s something you build. Through practice. Over time.

I call it The Inner Edge — the ability to think clearly, respond intentionally, and show up as your best self, especially when it’s hard.

And right now, it’s the most undervalued skill in business.

What is a positive thinking program?

A positive thinking program is a structured way to build habits for how you think, feel, and respond.

❌ Not theory.
❌ Not a book you read and forget.
❌ Not a podcast you listen to while multitasking.

It’s daily practice that rewires your brain.

🤓 Nerd Alert 🚨

Here’s the science: Your brain runs on neural pathways — patterns built through repetition. When you react the same way to stress over and over, that pathway gets stronger. It becomes automatic.

That’s why you know you shouldn’t snap at your partner after a hard day... but you do it anyway.

The pathway is too strong. The reaction is too fast.

A positive thinking program builds new pathways. Through consistent, daily practice — usually 15 minutes or less — you create new defaults.

Instead of reacting, you respond.
Instead of spiraling, you recover.
Instead of grinding until you crash, you perform with margin.

What’s one situation where a better response
(instead of a reaction) would have changed everything?

Why this matters for sellers

If you’re in sales, you already know: rejection is part of the job.

But knowing that doesn’t make it easier.

One bad call can tank your whole afternoon. A lost deal can wreck your week. The emotional rollercoaster — the highs after a win, the crash after a loss — it’s exhausting.

Most sales training focuses on skills:
objection handling, discovery questions, closing techniques.

None of that helps when you’re in your head after a prospect ghosts you.

What sellers with a strong Inner Edge look like:

Rejection doesn’t wreck momentum. It refuels it.

Energy stays steady through the week. No more crashes.

Confidence doesn’t swing with every deal. It holds.

They bounce back in minutes, not days.

The data backs this up:

22% increase in deal size

14% increase in revenue

5% shorter sales cycles

That’s not from better scripts. That’s from better thinking.

Why this matters for leaders

Your team feels your stress. Even when you think you’re hiding it.

When you’re reactive, they’re on edge. When you’re scattered, they’re confused. When you’re burned out, they’re disengaged.

Leadership isn’t just about strategy.
It’s about presence.

The best leaders I’ve worked with aren’t the smartest in the room. They’re the steadiest. The ones who stay calm when everyone else is panicking. The ones who make people feel safe enough to do their best work.

What leaders with a strong Inner Edge look like:

Composed under fire. Pressure brings out their best.

Clear communicators. No reactivity. Just clarity.

Trust builders. Their steadiness creates safety.

They drive results without destroying relationships.

91% of people who build these habits report managing stress better.
92% say they’re better at teamwork and collaboration.
84% improved their conflict management.

That’s not soft stuff. That’s leadership infrastructure.

Why this matters for high-achievers

You’re probably good at what you do. Maybe really good.

But here’s the question: at what cost?

High achievers have a unique problem. The same drive that makes you successful also makes you burn out. The same standards that push you forward also crush you when you fall short.

You’re winning at work and running on empty at home.
You’re hitting goals and losing yourself in the process.
You’re successful and still not satisfied.

What high-achievers with a strong Inner Edge look like:

They win without wearing out.

They detach from perfection. Progress over pressure.

They feel fulfilled, not just successful.

They enjoy the journey, not just chase the next win.

85% report increased happiness.
83% improved self-confidence.
90% use their energy more effectively.

This isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing it differently.

Why this matters for parents

This one’s personal.

A few years ago, my wife looked at me and said: “I got my husband back.”

We’d just survived a chaotic Thanksgiving. Kids home from college. Relationship drama. A shower leaking through the ceiling. A turkey fryer that decided to become a colander — oil everywhere.

Three years earlier, I would have lost it. Screamed at the kids. Snapped at her. Ruined another holiday.

But I didn’t.

I stayed present. Calm. Actually helpful.

Same chaos. Different me.

My wife didn’t just get her husband back. This makes you better.

Let me be clear: I’m not anti-AI. It’s daily practice that builds new neural pathways.

Here’s the structure:

Weeks 1-2: Build Self-Command
Learn to pause before you react. Catch yourself in the moment. Build the muscle that lets you choose your response.

Week 3: Expose Your Thinking Patterns
Identify the patterns that hijack you — the Judge, the Perfectionist, the People-Pleaser. You can’t change what you can’t see.

Week 4: Shift Your Thinking
Turn problems into opportunities. Respond from clarity, not fear. This is where the real transformation starts.

Weeks 5-6: Boost Your Powers
Empathy. Curiosity. Creativity. Calm action. Build the mental muscles that matter most.

Weeks 7-8 and Beyond: Lock It In
Solidify the habits. Continue growing with a full year of support.

What’s included:

Daily 15-minute exercises via the app

Weekly video sessions

Coach challenges to put learning into action

Pod community for accountability

Full year of access

Saboteur assessment to know exactly what’s been holding you back

Bonus: Lifetime access to LaunchPad ($249 value)

Investment: $1,497 (payment options available)

And if you enroll, you can invite a friend, partner, or family member at 50% off. Because growth is easier when someone’s got your back. 👊

The guarantee

This program has been proven globally. Thousands have done it.

But if you complete the full 8 weeks, do the work, and don’t think or feel differently — we’ll refund your entire purchase. No questions asked.

You do the work. We take the risk.

Gut Check:
are you building skills that compound...
or just chasing the next shiny tool?

The choice

Everyone’s racing to learn the next AI tool.

But the people who will thrive aren’t the ones with the best prompts. They’re the ones who can stay calm when everything’s chaotic. Who can think clearly under pressure. Who can show up fully — at work, at home, when it matters.

That’s the edge that compounds. That’s the skill that lasts.

The Inner Edge. 8 weeks. I spent years running on three patterns I couldn’t see: the Controller, the Hyper-Achiever, and the Stickler. They helped me win at work. They ended up costing me everything else. Here’s what I learned, what it cost me, and how to spot it in yourself.

The Edge I Thought Was My Strength

There was a time when I thought my edge was my strength.

I was driven. Focused. Relentless.

In sales, that worked. I hit numbers. Led teams. Won deals.

But under the hood? I was running on three patterns I didn’t see.

I didn’t know they had names. I just thought it was “how I was wired.”

Turns out, I was wired for winning — and losing at the same time.

What I Lost

Performance

As a seller and sales leader, I pushed hard. I chased the win. I checked the dashboards. I fixed what others missed.

It looked like excellence.

But here’s what it really did:

I worked longer than needed.

I carried pressure alone.

I made simple things complex.

I confused motion with progress.

Performance went up. Peace went down. Energy drained faster than it should have.

I was winning on paper. But I was paying a tax I couldn’t see.

Relationships

At home, it was more subtle.

I wanted things “right.” Schedules tight. Standards high.

I thought I was leading. Most of the time I was just tense.

My kids didn’t need a high achieving SaaS bro... They needed a present dad.

My wife didn’t need a fixer, rescuer, or a hero. She needed a partner.

Control can look like care. Perfection can look like love.

But love feels different, softer, kinder...

When I was stuck in those patterns, I was less patient. Less open. Less fun and more fun at the same time… partying with the wrong people!

That’s a hard truth.

Wellbeing

You can win on paper and lose inside.

Self-sabotage shows up in the body:

Tight chest

Short breath

Poor sleep

Fast thoughts

It steals joy first. Then it steals a more if you’re not careful… I wasn’t.

I lost time. Energy. Money. Focus.

Not all at once. Just a little each day.

Five minutes of tension becomes five hours of stress.

You may know this feeling. I lived with it for years and it wrecked me and my marriage!

Subscribe now

The Three Patterns Running Me

Once I started paying attention, I could finally name what had been driving me for years.

The Controller — I needed things my way. If I wasn’t in charge, I was uncomfortable. Delegation felt like risk. Trust felt like exposure.

The Hyper-Achiever — My worth was tied to results. Good quarter? I’m good. Bad quarter? I’m bad. The scoreboard ran my self-esteem.

The Stickler — Close was never good enough. There was always something to fix, improve, tighten. The voice that said “not quite” never rested.

At first, these traits looked like strengths.

The Controller got things done.
The Hyper-Achiever hit targets.
The Stickler caught mistakes.

Over time, my quiet blockers became LOUD.

The Hyper-Achiever told me, “You’re only as good as your last quarter.”
The Controller said, “If you want it done right, do it yourself.”
The Stickler whispered, “Not good enough.”

That voice never rests and it’s exhausting AF.

What Self-Sabotage Really Is

Self-sabotage is not laziness. It’s not weakness.

It’s a pattern your brain learned to protect you.

It feels smart. It feels safe. It feels “just how I am.”

And it costs you.

The silent tax is real:

Time — spent on things that don’t move the needle

Energy — drained by tension and overthinking

Money — lost opportunities, delayed decisions

Trust — eroded by control and perfectionism

Most people don’t fail from lack of skill. They struggle from patterns they can’t see.

Take the Assessment

Takes 3 minutes. Instant results. 100% free.

The Turning Point

On February 1, 2024, I was let go after a false PIP and months of chaos.

Old (younger) Mike D would have reacted with anger and a few “eff” bombs if you know what I mean… 🤬💣💥

Controller would fight.
Hyper-Achiever would prove.
Stickler would blame.

Instead, something different happened…

I slowed down. I saw the patterns.

And I realized: the job wasn’t the real threat. My patterns were.

That moment led to ResultsLab.io, to ResultsOS, and it led to this work.

Not from rage. From awareness.

The <s>Good</s> Great News

These patterns are not your identity. They’re behaviors.

And behaviors can change.

When I learned to spot my Controller, I paused instead of pushed.

When I caught my Hyper-Achiever, I reminded myself: “I am enough without the scoreboard.”

When I noticed my Stickler, I asked: “Is this excellent… or just ego?”

Simple awareness changed everything.

Not overnight. But steadily.

Why This Matters Now

Leaders are tired. Parents are stretched. Sellers are under pressure.

High performers carry a lot.

Most don’t fail from lack of skill. They struggle from patterns they can’t see.

That’s the work. Not more hustle. More awareness.

You can be driven and calm.
Focused and kind.
Ambitious and present.

You can win at work and at home.

It starts with seeing what’s been running you.

A Simple Reflection

Before you move on, sit with these three questions:

Where do I push too hard?

Where do I need control?

When is “not good enough” running the show?

Notice without judgment. That’s step one.

The Invitation

If this hit home, take the next step.

I have a simple self-sabotage assessment — not to label you, but to help you understand yourself.

When you see your patterns clearly, you can:

Improve performance without burning out

Strengthen relationships without fixing everyone

Protect your wellbeing without slowing down

Start your Assessment

Takes 3 minutes. It’s not laziness or weakness. It’s a protection mechanism your brain learned early in life that no longer serves you. Common self-sabotaging patterns include perfectionism, people-pleasing, procrastination, and hyper-achievement.

What are the signs of self-sabotage?

Signs of self-sabotage include:

Working harder than necessary but feeling stuck

Tying your self-worth to external results

Difficulty delegating or trusting others

Chronic stress, poor sleep, or burnout

Strained relationships despite good intentions

Feeling like “close” is never good enough

If you’re winning on paper but losing inside, self-sabotage may be running in the background.

What causes self-sabotage?

Self-sabotage is typically rooted in early life experiences where certain behaviors helped you survive, succeed, or stay safe. Over time, these patterns become automatic. Common drivers include fear of failure, fear of success, imposter syndrome, and a need for control. The good news: these are learned habits — and habits can change.

How do I stop self-sabotaging?

Stopping self-sabotage starts with awareness. You can’t change what you can’t see. Key steps include:

Spot the pattern — Name your saboteurs (e.g., Controller, Hyper-Achiever, Stickler)

Shift your response — Pause before reacting; choose a different action

Sustain the change — Build daily habits that reinforce new patterns

Coaching accelerates this process by providing accountability, structure, and an outside perspective.

What is mental fitness?

Mental fitness is your capacity to respond to life’s challenges with a positive mindset rather than a reactive one. It’s the ability to intercept negative thought patterns (like self-doubt, judgment, or anxiety) and shift to clearer, calmer thinking. Mental fitness is built through consistent practice — similar to physical fitness.

How is mental fitness different from mental health?

Mental health refers to your overall psychological wellbeing — including conditions like anxiety, depression, or trauma. Mental fitness is about building the mental muscles to handle stress, setbacks, and pressure more effectively. Think of it this way: mental health is the baseline; mental fitness is the optimization.

What is ResultsOS™?

ResultsOS™ is a personal operating system for high performers. Created by Mike D’Angelo at ResultsLab.io, it combines behavior science, mental fitness, and high-performance habits into a simple framework. ResultsOS helps you optimize five key areas — Growth, Relationships, Energy, Alignment, and Time (GREAT) — using the FASTER execution model.

Who is coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone who wants great results faster. ResultsLab.io works with sales leaders, founders, executives, entrepreneurs, and ambitious professionals. It’s also for parents, mid-career professionals navigating transitions, and anyone feeling stuck, burned out, or ready to level up.

Who is coaching NOT for?

Coaching is not for people looking for hacks, shortcuts, or quick fixes. It’s not for those who avoid accountability or aren’t willing to do the work. If you want someone to tell you what you want to hear, this isn’t for you.

How long does coaching take to see results?

Most clients start seeing shifts within the first 2–4 weeks. Meaningful, lasting change typically takes 3–6 months. The average coaching engagement at ResultsLab.io lasts one year because sustainable transformation takes time and reinforcement.

How much does coaching cost?

Individual coaching at ResultsLab.io ranges from $1,000 to $25,000 depending on the depth and format (1:1 vs. group). Group coaching is more affordable; 1:1 coaching offers deeper personalization. Corporate programs are also available.

Layoffs: How to Rebuild Clarity, Confidence, and Calm Through Mental Fitness

Layoffs test more than skills. It’s sleepless nights. It’s pressure from every side.

I’ve Lived This Story

I’ve been through this cycle more times than I’d like to admit: 1997, 2000, 2001, 2008, 2020… and again in 2024.
Each time hurt. Each time tested me.

But this last one? It was different.

In 2023, I made an investment I’d never made before — not in stocks or strategy, but in mental fitness.

I paid out of pocket to train my mind the same way we train our bodies: to handle stress, self-doubt, and uncertainty with calm and clarity.

So when I was RIF’ed for the final time in February 2024, I didn’t spiral.
I didn’t lose myself.

I used it as a launch pad.

That single decision became the foundation for ResultsLab.io and the Results Operating System — the same framework I now use to help founders, leaders, and high achievers perform under pressure without burning out.

Three Things That Matter Most When the World Feels Unstable

1. Clarity

Pause before you react.
Ask: What truly matters now?
When everything around you is uncertain, clarity is your stabilizer.

“Confusion drains energy; clarity restores it.”

Grab a notebook. Write nine words — three for yourself, three for how you show up for others, and three that define what success means to you today.
That simple Clarity Chart becomes your compass in the storm.

2. Relationships

Reach out before you retreat.
Connection is the antidote to chaos.

Your next opportunity, breakthrough, or moment of calm will come through people, not posts.
Send a message. Check in. Offer help. Ask for perspective.

And if you lead a team, remember: people don’t need perfection — they need presence.

“Culture doesn’t collapse when people leave; it collapses when we stop caring.”

3. Wellbeing

Protect your energy — it’s the only resource that multiplies when you invest in it.
If you already move regularly, keep it up. If you’ve stopped, start small: a walk, a stretch, a moment to breathe.

And train your mind as intentionally as you train your body.
That’s what mental fitness is: strengthening self-command so you can stay calm, clear, and capable under pressure.

The Rebuild Mindset

You don’t bounce back from change — you bounce forward.
You’re not behind; you’re being reset for what’s next.

Use this season to reflect:

What did this experience teach me about who I am?

What patterns or pressures am I ready to release?

What habits will help me rebuild stronger?

Rebuilding isn’t about rushing. It’s about rhythm.
Pause. Reflect. Realign. Then take one aligned action — not all the actions.

My Mental Fitness Story

I didn’t have mental fitness in 2001 or 2008.
I didn’t have it during the pandemic.

But when I finally learned it in 2023, everything changed — personally, professionally, and relationally.

It’s helped me handle pressure while launching a business, raising six kids (the last off to college), and supporting aging parents — all without losing myself.

That’s why I’m paying it forward.

An Invitation to Strengthen Your Mind

If you’re navigating change — or leading others through it — I built an 8-Week Mental Fitness Program to help you do what I did:
Regain clarity, rebuild confidence, and strengthen your self-command.

It’s the same practice that helped me turn a layoff into a launch pad.
The same tools I now teach to leaders who want to perform under pressure and protect their peace.

Because from where I sit, the world isn’t slowing down.
The pressure isn’t going away.

But what can change is how you handle it — how you think, lead, and live.
And that begins in your mind.

“There’s a simple way to thrive, not just survive.
It’s not luck. It’s not hustle.
It’s mental fitness — practiced daily.”

Closing Reflection

When everything feels uncertain, remember this:

Clarity gives you direction.

Relationships remind you that you’re not alone.

Wellbeing gives you strength to keep going.

Cooler water prevails. Flow like water.
Get GREAT results FASTER — with more margin for what matters most.

Summary

Layoffs are more than a career disruption—they’re an emotional reset. Whether you’ve been let go, stayed behind, or had to deliver the news, this moment tests your clarity, relationships, and resilience. This post explores how to stay grounded through self-command, protect your wellbeing, and use reflection —not reaction— to rebuild with confidence and direction.

Topics Covered:

layoffs 2025, navigating layoffs, clarity under pressure, rebuild after job loss, mental fitness, self-command, resilience, Results Operating System, career transitions, burnout recovery, emotional wellbeing, leadership under pressure, ResultsLab.io, clarity and calm, workplace change, high performance mindset and thinking

Author: Mike D’Angelo

Publisher: ResultsLab.io

Highlights:

Results Operating System (ResultsOS)

GREAT - the engine for clarity

FASTER - the engine for execution

Mental Fitness

Leadership Resilience

Emotional Regulation

Self-Command

Career Reinvention

Share ResultsLab.io

About Mike D’Angelo | ResultsLab.io Founder and Creator of the ResultsOS™

Mike D’Angelo is the founder of ResultsLab.io and creator of the Results Operating System (ResultsOS™) a clarity, execution, and business-performance framework that helps individuals, leaders and teams thrive under pressure without burning out.

After three decades leading sales, enablement, and go-to-market functions in the tech sector, Mike turned his final corporate layoff into a launch pad — building ResultsLab to teach others how to think clearly, act decisively, and live and lead with margin.

He blends behavior science, neuroscience, and systems thinking to help individuals master self-command while guiding organizations to scale outcomes through people, process, and performance systems.

His mission: help one million people in the U.S. by 2035 to do GREAT work and live a GREAT life every day.

About ResultsLab.io

ResultsLab.io is a human-performance and business-optimization company that helps individuals, teams, and organizations achieve performance with margin — sustainable success across life and work.

Powered by the Results Operating System (ResultsOS™) — combining the GREAT Framework for clarity, the FASTER Framework for execution, and the OPPS Engine for business alignment — ResultsLab turns reflection into results and momentum into margin.

Our programs integrate mental fitness, behavioral science, and leadership systems to help people perform under pressure, communicate with confidence, and build cultures of clarity, accountability, and trust.

Tagline: Get GREAT results FASTER — with more margin for what matters most.

About ResultsOS

The Results Operating System (ResultsOS™) is a complete human-and-business-performance framework built on three integrated engines:

GREAT for Clarity and Mindset

FASTER for Execution and Momentum

OPPS for Business Alignment and Scale

ResultsOS blends behavior science, mental fitness, and systems thinking to help individuals master self-command while enabling leaders and organizations to reduce friction, build trust, and accelerate results.
It turns clarity into strategy, habits into performance, and pressure into progress.

Philosophy: Simple systems.
